Beatniks, Fred Savage, and Faygo

Remember all the posts where I said there would be weekly updates? Those were filthy, filthy lies.

Here have a comic!

That was me realizing that I look like a beatnik. I might as well start writing poetry and snapping instead of clapping now. Also, playing the bongos and wearing turtlenecks and berets.

That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge about beatniks, actually.

Oh I made a thing:

It is TOTALLY AWESOME: THE FRED SAVAGE APPRECIATION BOOK.

I spent an hour making that on Friday night with my copier, which really goes to show what kind of social life I have.

Anyway, it's a four page book featuring nothing but pictures of Fred Savage, and my commentary. My creepy commentary. Actually, everything about this is pretty creepy, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY IT IS FUNNY.

It should also be noted that my sense of humor is really, really stupid.

I know what you're thinking now: You're thinking that this post is almost over. WELL I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU, SIR: It isn't. We still have to talk about...

FFFFFAAAAAAAAAYYYYYGGGGGOOOOOOOOOO

BACKSTORY: My father had taken me to the corner store because he wanted to get a lottery ticket. It was the unsavory corner store down the street that has bars on the windows. Everytime I go in there, I feel like some guy is going to bust in with a gun AND SHOOT ERRBODY. Anyway, I made my way to the beverage selection. There was a lot of beer and Sundrop, but amongst it, I saw a shining beacon of hope: FAYGO.

I gazed at it: it's smooth, bold logo, it's proclamation of "BIG 24 oz.", the fact that one bottle has 390 calories...I was drawn in. Clearly, I knew what I had to do.

I bought three.

Each bottle was later taste tested by me, Emma, and Katelyn, and we came to the conclusion that: It tasted pretty swell (except the red one, which tasted like someone mixed Kool-aid and cough syrup together. Katelyn loved it though.) So yes, juggalos have taste buds, but they still have no taste in music.

Okay, I think that's enough nonsense for today. Toodles!

aww yiss

oh my gog, WHAT is that....

It's SPOOK magazine's first issue, THAT'S WHAT IT IS!!!
Yes, for once in my life, I actually had the initiative to complete something. It took like 3 months but whatevah. The point is, it's done, and I'm happy! Thank you to errbody who has something in it! And to those who don't: There will soon be a second issue, and rest assured you will probably be in it.

I have ten books printed, so not everyone will get one just yet because I'm sending some off places. But you will all have one. Eventually. Or at least get to look at it.

NOW WHO WANTS TO SEE MORE WEBCAM PICS OF ME POSING WITH IT?

I also put a link to it on the right hand side of this blog.

Also, I finished my Slenderman comic! (most of you already know this) Now, though, I have to ink it. Uuuugghhhhhh /whine

I'm also thinking of printing it up and selling it at Heroes like I did with Hideki and Daichi. What do ya'll think? TELL ME.

EXPECT THEM

Please enjoy this little Petya comic! Also, writing Russian "d"s is hard.

So! Yesterday I went to the used bookstore and got a book called "RUSSIAN in record time"! It's like 40 years old but still quite helpful. It talks about grammar and stuff, and also has English/Russian and Russian/English dictionaries in the back. ALGEBRAIC!

And now, please enjoy a couple Russian things that I enjoy;

This cartoon!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF1mFgYtr0c
This one too, although it's quite a bit darker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfI69DC_jaw

CHECK IT

In a post a while back, I vaguely mentioned that I was working on something. Something awesome. It was this post, to be precise: http://the-kirbinator.blogspot.com/2010/08/bluh-bluh.html
But more importantly, that awesome thing I was working on has been completed, AND HERE IT IS:
If you can't tell what that is, because I took that with my shoddy webcam, I will tell you what it is. It is a comic book with nothing but Hideki and Daichi comics in it (many of you know them, the japanese twin dudes).
I know what you're thinking; "Yeah okay, Kirby just took a bunch of comics she's shown me before and binded them. What makes this so special?" WELL I'LL TELL YOU WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL.
The comics featured in this book have NEVER BEEN READ BEFORE (well Katelyn has read like 4 of them, but that's less than half so I won't count it). So cool.

The bad part is I'm going to make you pay me before you can get one. And I'm not letting you read before you pay, either. But hey, it takes a lot of effort to put one of these things together okay? I have a right to ask for cash.

Lucky for you guys, I'm only asking for an even 3 buckaroos for one of these babies. I know you guys can afford that! I know it.

Sup my homies

HEY GUYS
HOW'S IT GOIN'

Here have a comic:

I'll leave you guessing as to what it says, even though I think it's fairly obvious. I think.

Cyclops love! 2

Part two of the cyclops love saga! I don't know if there will be a third part, because I have no clue what to write. If something comes to me, though, I may write a third one. Maybe.

Cyclops love!

And now for a comic about giant cyclopes falling in love. What more could you want?

Page 2 coming soon!

Adventures in Visart

So the other day I was at Visart renting Donnie Darko (expect fanart later), and I saw Mr. Madison there. For like the third time. Anyway, this happened;

Why, mom? Why would you ever notice this? I could've gone my whole life not knowing that Mr. Madison had a bunch of back hair sticking out of his shirt collar. But NO. Apparently that wasn't in the cards.

Also, my face in the first panel is totally this: http://www.topatoco.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TO&Product_Code=BEAT-PONY&Category_Code=BEAT

Lastly, have a picture of Petya.

Speaking of study buddies, Katelyn made some to help with her Japanese learnin'. I know this because read it on her Facebook page. Anyway, once I see these study buddies, I will be drawing them!

That's it for now!

Colors and falling

Why did I draw this? I have no idea, but aren't you glad I did?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Anyway, click the picture to make it bigger. Then, gaze upon the ludicrous colors, flying cars, and a guy being pushed from a window. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?

Ghosts

I wanted to write a comic with some ghosts in it, so I drew this. Jazz playing ghosts would rule. RULE SO HARD, MAN.

Study buddy

The dude above is my STUDY BUDDY! I named him Petya. He will help me learn my Russian by starring in comics in which he says things in it. Such as this one, that you probably won't be able to read! But you can still look at it and enjoy the painful primary colors!

Creeper mailbox

Back in the day (early 7th grade) I wrote a pretty dumb comic about Steve from Blue's Clues showering and then the mailbox busting in through the wall and being a creeper. I think the mailbox said something like; "I got some mail for ya. Why don't you...reach in and get it?" and then he pretty much did what I drew up there. Despite realizing the comics' dumbness, I STILL FIND IT FUNNY, for some reason, so I re-drew it! Enjoy.

SHOES part 2

THE MYSTERY DEEPENS
And by that I mean Kirby has no idea how to end things and just leaves awkward cliffhangers!
Also there won't be a part 3!
I need to post things other than these comics...

SHOES part 1

Where IS Ingrid going??? Stay tuned.

And yes, that IS a luchador on Jerome's shirt. I didn't want him to just have a plain blue shirt, so I had to put something on it. Did you guys know that's there's going to be some LUCHA LIBRE in Charlotte soon? I saw it on the sign at the coliseum. MASKED WRESTLING, BABY. I'd go to watch it if my mom would spend money on nonsense like that, but she won't. That's probably a good thing!

It's DUDE TIME

There is now a new character up in this piece, homies! Her name is Ingrid Cold. Remember the girl sitting next to Jerome in the bromance comic? Yeah that's her. And now she's in this comic, interrupting DUDE TIME.

And that's it for now, my brothas!

Maurice and Jerome- they're real close bros, yo.
And there's really nothing else to say on the matter.
